Position Summary

NewEdge Advisors is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Portfolio Management Associate to support the Investments & Wealth Solutions Division. This role includes support of portfolio management, investments, platform maintenance, and advisor solutions mapping. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, operationally precise, and comfortable navigating a fast-paced, multi-custodial, multi-channel investment team.

Job Responsibilities

Portfolio Management Support

  • Provide day-to-day operational and analytical support to the Portfolio Management team across content, systems, and data functions.
  • Own ongoing maintenance of the investment platform gateway, including updating model descriptions, holdings disclosures, guides, and related materials across advisor-facing portals.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with investment-related audit and performance reporting requirements; gather data, format reports, and coordinate with Compliance and the CIO as needed.
  • Serve as a hands-on user and administrator of integrated platforms including Orion (ORI), YCharts, Softek, and related investment research tools; pull data, build outputs, and troubleshoot integration issues.
  • Support casework and portfolio construction alongside Portfolio Managers.
  • Support proposal systems and software; coordinate integrations and data for the investment platform.
  • Own open item tracking for cases between the portfolio management team and trading operations team — maintaining follow-up queues, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring commitments are closed on time.
  • Assist with special projects, technology implementations, and process improvement initiatives as directed by PM and trading & operations leadership.
  • Support automation and data integration efforts involving Orion, Salesforce, and back-office systems.
  • Help coordinate Investment Committee meetings, including logistics, materials, and follow-up documentation.

Advisor Transition & Investment Mapping

  • Work alongside Investment Solutions Advocates to educate and map incoming advisor teams’ books of business to NEA’s platform solutions and investment offerings.
  • Sit in on advisor transition and recruiting calls to develop comprehensive understanding of advisor holdings, business lines, and operational needs.
  • Gather and organize data on advisor current investment holdings to support transition planning and solution design.
  • Coordinate deliverables, presentations, and files for transition mapping discussions with committed and prospective teams.

Products, Pricing & Data Systems Maintenance

  • Support in the maintenance and accuracy of product, pricing, and platform data across the investment ecosystem, with Orion as the primary system of record.
  • Administration & support in maintaining product databases within Orion, ensuring data integrity across models, strategies, and investment solutions.

Content, Presentation & Marketing Support

  • Work with the Director of Portfolio Management and Managing Director of Investments to create, modify, and maintain platform content and materials.
  • Help develop presentations and compile content across NewEdge business verticals for advisor-facing and internal distribution.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services, investment operations, or a related function — preferably within an RIA, broker-dealer, or TAMP environment.
  • Familiarity with multi-custodial RIA platforms and custodians such as Fidelity, Schwab, Raymond James, Goldman Sachs, and LPL Financial.
  • Experience with SMA platforms (e.g., SMArtX, Vise) and/or TAMP platforms (e.g., AssetMark, Envestnet, SEI) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of portfolio management and CRM systems, particularly Orion and Salesforce.
  • Strong product knowledge across investment solutions including SMAs, mutual funds, ETFs, structured notes, and alternative investments.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple open workstreams simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging directly with advisors and third-party partners.

Preferred Attributes

  • Series 65, Series 7/66, or SIE license (or demonstrated willingness to obtain).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and AI tools; comfort with data tools and reporting platforms.
