NewEdge Advisors is looking for a highly skilled, service-minded associate with a positive attitude who enjoys problem-solving and meeting the needs of our advisor base & home office staff. The ideal candidate brings a trainer’s mindset, hands-on experience with Wealthbox CRM and its integrations, and a genuine enthusiasm for AI and its practical applications in wealth management. The Technology Training & Support Specialist will report directly to the Director of Technology Solutions.

The position will be in New Orleans, LA, but remote candidates may be considered.

 

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of this job include support of the NEA Tech Stack with an emphasis on training, as well as supporting the team in digital transformation projects. The ideal candidate will have a technical background, a strong understanding of the wealth management industry, and a trainer’s mindset — approaching every advisor interaction as an opportunity to build knowledge, confidence, and long-term self-sufficiency. They will bring a forward-looking perspective on AI and its role in shaping the future of financial services technology. They will operate well in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-driven environment. Outstanding customer service, effective communication, and organizational skills are essential.

  • Tech Stack Specialist
    • Understand the Tech Stack Offering for W2 and 1099 affiliates, including the Financial Technology tools (Advisor Workstation, CRM, Financial Planning, etc.), Business Tools (Video Conferencing, Scheduling, AI tools, Phone Systems, Texting, etc.), and General IT (MSP, MS365, cybersecurity)
    • Research and identify new FinTech that could be valuable for our advisors and/or internal firm by identifying trends and advisor pain points
    • Execute the Vendor Due Diligence on new technology tools by following the EdgeCo process & reviewing with Compliance
    • Assist with transitioning new firms to our RIA (Registered Investment Advisory) from discovery through implementation and full integration support
    • Advanced level of expertise using the Orion platform with a deep understanding of the core Orion Connect applications
  • Technology Support
    • Serve as the main point of contact for technology questions and inquiries for our DBA firms, both W2 and 1099, partnering with our internal EIT teams and external MSP when necessary
    • Track and manage DBA technology requests via the Salesforce Case Management System
    • Assist with NewEdge Help Center article and training material management and creation
    • Create content such as training videos and slick sheets for the Technology Solutions team
    • Coordinate and lead demos, webinars, etc., to educate our advisors on new tech offerings available
  • Technology Training & Enablement
    • Design and deliver structured training programs for advisors and staff across the NEA Tech Stack, with a focus on driving adoption and building lasting proficiency
    • Serve as the lead and manage projects for various initiatives from inception to implementation, being able to track and report on progress, milestones, challenges, and deliverables
    • Develop and maintain training curricula, guides, and job aids tailored to different advisor experience levels and workflows
    • Conduct one-on-one and group training sessions to support onboarding, new tool rollouts, and ongoing skill development
    • Gather feedback from training participants to continuously improve content, delivery methods, and learning outcomes
  • AI & Innovation
    • Stay current on emerging AI tools and trends relevant to wealth management and financial technology, and serve as an internal resource for AI awareness and education
    • Evaluate AI-powered tools and integrations for potential implementation across the NEA Tech Stack, including CRM automation, AI note-taking, document intelligence, and advisor productivity solutions
    • Partner with the Technology Solutions team to develop and deliver advisor-facing content and training on approved AI tools and workflows

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of securities industry experience within organizations providing investment advisory services.
  • Experience with Fidelity, Raymond James, Schwab, Goldman Sachs and/or LPL Clearing preferred.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business-related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Skill in operating various databases and software programs (i.e., Microsoft Office, Orion, Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, etc.). Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience with the Wealthbox CRM platform and its integrations with third-party financial technology tools.
  • Proven training experience with a trainer’s mindset: ability to design structured curricula, lead engaging group and individual sessions, adapt delivery to varied learner levels, and measure the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools in a wealth management or financial technology context, combined with a forward-looking mindset around evaluating and implementing AI solutions that enhance advisor productivity and client service. Active commitment to staying current with emerging AI developments relevant to the financial services industry.
  • Project management skills, including strategic planning, communication, risk mitigation and leadership.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks within established timeframes.
  • Ability to investigate, research, and resolve problems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and explain complex information concisely.
  • FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) SIE, Series 7 and/or 65/66 are a plus.
