As Executive Vice President, Advisors Success & Pillar Channel at NewEdge Advisors, Scott Cohen leads the firm’s efforts to support and scale both 1099 and Pillar advisor channels–helping ensure that advisors are supported, empowered and connected through every phase of their journey.
Scott is a results-driven executive with over 30 years of experience transforming advisor experience and accelerating growth across the independent wealth management landscape. Prior to joining NewEdge, Scott served as the Director, Business Consulting & Education at Charles Schwab Advisor Services, where he designed and scaled strategic consulting frameworks for advisors transitioning to the RIA model, helping them optimize business performance and prepare for sustainable growth. He spent over a decade at Ameriprise Financial in several leadership roles, including Field Vice President and Director of National Sales, where he led advisor onboarding, practice management, and recruitment strategies that drove measurable results across the Mid-Atlantic region.
Scott graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. He maintains his Series 7, 24, 63, and 65.
Scott currently resides in his hometown of Mendham, New Jersey with his wife, two kids, and one strong-willed dachshund. In his spare time, Scott enjoys long bike rides, strong coffee, and spending time with his family.
